Factors Affecting the Maximum Leachate Head in the Landfill Drainage Layer under Clogging Conditions

Clogging of the landfill drainage layer leads to a high leachate head developing over bottom liner, which increases risk leakage. Estimation maximum in is great significance pollution control liners. In this study, simplified model considering development clogging established through assuming spatial and temporal distributions landfill. The calculation results are compared with previous study verify proposed model. Through parameter analysis, it discovered that larger initial hydraulic conductivity, less influence on at beginning, but will increase time. Meanwhile, longer distance, inflow rate, or higher ion concentration lead greater head. completion time more sensitive variation rate concentration. order effectively head, suggested material large conductivity such as pebbles gravel should be used, slope than 4%, distance controlled 20 m, calcium products removed from adsorption, precipitation, waste reuse.
